A clean blower motor is critical for several reasons. Firstly, it ensures optimal airflow throughout your heating and cooling system, enhancing its efficiency and performance. A dirty motor can lead to overheating, increased energy consumption, and even system failure. Regular maintenance of the blower motor not only extends the lifespan of your HVAC system but also improves indoor air quality by reducing dust and allergens circulating in home.

2 stage system
The Carrier 2-stage air conditioning system offers enhanced comfort and energy efficiency for your home saving up to 30% of your electricity bill and reduce tremendous indoor humidity . With its ability to operate
at two different cooling levels, it provides optimal temperature while consuming less energy compared traditional single-stage systems. This not only helps reduce your utility bills but also environmental impact.
price cost $5500-13000 depends on options.

Variable system
A single stage AC keeps the temperature in your home within 2-3 degrees of the thermostat setting. Two stage units keep it within 1-2 degrees of what the thermostat wants. Variable speed AC units hold the temperature within a half-degree or closer.
Better humidity control – The key to dehumidification is circulating the air in your home over the cold indoor coil. Moisture condenses on it and drains away, reducing the humidity in your home. A system running at 40% or 50% has longer cycles than one running at 70% (2 stage unit on low) or 100% (2 stage on high or single stage running any time).
Longer, slower cycles allow for more effective moisture removal – dehumidification of the muggy air.
Better air filtration – Those longer, slower cycles also allow the air filter in the system to more effectively remove pollutants, allergens and other debris from the air in your home, resulting in better indoor air quality (IAQ).
Better resale value – When homebuyers look at an HVAC system, they often consider the efficiency above all else. “Wow, 28 SEER and really low energy bills?” They love it, and the super-efficient AC might help you sell your home.
Higher equipment cost – According to one large Texas HVAC contractor, the cost of variable speed equipment is “$4,000 to $11,000 more than other units.” That might be a little high, but it depends on which units you’re comparing a variable speed air conditioner to.
Generally, we agree. You’ll pay at least a couple thousand dollars more for the benefits listed above. It’s not just the AC unit – which is the bulk of the cost. You also need an advanced communicating thermostat like the Carrier ComfortLink II thermostat at about $600 or the Carrier Infinity System control at $500+.
Higher repair cost – If a modulating compressor fails, you’re looking at a $2,000 – $3,000 repair bill versus maybe $800 to $1,500 for a single stage or 2 stage compressor.
price cost $7500-$17000 depends on options.

90% Furnace system
When it comes to heating and cooling the word energy efficiency is thrown around an awful lot. Furthermore, we often here a lot of numbers accompanied with it…80%, 90%-what does it all mean? Many of you might not be sure what the difference is between an 80% furnace and a 90% furnace-if there even is a difference. Here is a brief explanation.
Though both an 80% efficiency furnace and 90% furnace will heat your home, there are some significant differences that you may want to think about it if you are considering a new furnace in the future. The number ratings that furnaces come with are their AFUE percent (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency). The percent represents how much energy from your furnace is actually going to heat the home, and how much of it is wasted. Therefore, with an 80% efficiency furnace you are only receiving 80% of the heat that you pay for. With a 90% efficiency furnace you are receiving 90%. 10% might not seem like a large difference, but at this time of year when we are consistently using our furnace, that 10% can really add up.
The other difference between an 80% efficiency furnace and a 90% efficiency furnace is how the furnace is vented. 80% efficiency furnaces have much high exhaust temperatures so they must be vented through the chimney via a chimney liner. 90% efficiency furnaces on the other hand vent at much lower temperatures so they are vented through PVC pipes on the side of the home.
